What is something people might not know about your when they first meet you?

Something people might not know about me when they meet is that I love to snowboard and I have been snowboarding for about 5 years, recreationally.

What made you select this particular article?

I chose this article because it reminded me of when I was younger and my mom would take me to the park to play on the playground and she would watch me play as she used the exercise equipment. I am fortunate and grateful that this has never happened to my mother while we have been at the park together and I hope it never does because she still likes to go to the park and walk laps.

What might be missing from the story that would be important for readers to know?

Just because something is not happening directly to you, does not mean that is not happening at all. The article mentions this attack in Orange County but this kind of violence happens all around the world.

Share a little bit about your empathy towards the victim or victims family.

I hope that the families of the victims are not fearful, but more aware of the simple dangers that are in this cruel world. Just going outside could be dangerous depending on where you live. If you think that your city is safe and crime rates are lower than other cities, you should still expect the possibility of it happening because anything is possible.
