That Boi Ain't Right, I'm Jesus

The Visible project provides a comforting awareness that Jesse is not the image that the people in his life see or envision him as, but rather is transparent about the nature of his genuine and unconventional motivations and passions. Leading up to present day, he often struggles to unmask around certain groups of people such as family, peers, and respected adults. The gesture with his arms extended shows who he is, not someone who is pious and traditional, but someone a bit irrational yet logical. Important figures in his life, for example, his parents or classmates tend to get uncomfortable about his ironic nature, sometimes the best he can do is gesture by pressing his palms together, like emoting to a silly little internet meme, and quote, “boi.”
